Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Good Enough Labs ("we") for the capi app. By using capi you accept them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Your account

You sign in to capi with Apple or Google. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13, and old enough in your country to buy a subscription if you buy one.

Not medical advice

capi helps you keep track of what you eat. Calories, macros, micronutrients, goals and projections are estimates: they come from nutrition tables, product data and AI, and they can be wrong. capi doesn't diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Talk to a doctor or a dietitian before changing how you eat, especially if you are pregnant, have a health condition or have a history of eating disorders.

AI results

capi uses AI to read the words, voice and photos of your meals and to pick foods and amounts. It can misread a meal or pick the wrong food. When it isn't sure it says so and offers alternatives, and you can correct any line. Use your own judgment.

Your content

What you add stays yours. You give us permission to store it, process it and send it to our providers only to run capi's features for you, and to show it to the people in your groups when you post it there. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

Only add photos you have the right to use. Data from public nutrition databases is used under their licenses, and capi says where it came from.

Groups

Be kind in groups. Don't post anything illegal, hateful, sexual or meant to harass, shame or pressure someone about their body or food. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

capi+ and free features

• capi is free to use, with a free allowance of AI-powered logs. capi+ is an optional subscription that adds more. What each plan includes, and how much of the allowance is left, is shown in the app.
• capi+ renews automatically and is sold through the App Store or Google Play. The price, the billing period and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period or the trial ends to avoid the next charge.
• capi+ includes describing meals without the free allowance's limit, under a fair-use daily ceiling that keeps the service running for everyone.

We may change what the free plan and capi+ include. Changes won't affect a period you've already paid for.

Fair use

Don't break the law with capi, try to get around its limits, overload or probe our servers, copy the nutrition data in bulk, or resell the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

Ending

You can stop using capi and delete your account at any time (you → settings → delete account and data). Deleting the app or the account doesn't cancel a subscription; cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.

No guarantees

capi is provided as is. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, accurate or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

Apple and Google

These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google aren't responsible for capi or its support. If you got capi from the App Store, Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement also applies, and Apple may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Using capi after that means you accept the new terms.
